50 Before 50 #6 - Knitting is my new zen
I had a wake up call about 2 months ago that has prompted me to examine how I manage stress in my life. Spoiler alert: this historically...
My journey to learn 50 new skills before I turn 50
Experiences. Inspiration. Gratitude.
Sara has always been curious and up for an adventure. From a young age, she was interested in learning new things and creating special experiences with family and friends. Sara lost one of her best partners in adventure, her brother Mike, right before she turned 40 in 2015. Although there was much to be proud of when turning 40- two beautiful boys, an amazing marriage, a successful career, a loving family, and very special friends from each decade of her life- hitting this milestone without Mike felt empty and unfair.
Fast forward a few years, and Sara found herself starting to reflect on turning 50. She knew that turning 50 needed to be better than turning 40. So, Sara set a goal that Mike would have been proud of- to learn 50 new skills before she turns 50. Mike is smiling in heaven and will be with her every step of the way.
